Wednesday | 19:00 UTC | Emirates Stadium | Premier League

Arsenal return to Premier League action under the lights at the Emirates on Wednesday, with Crystal Palace visiting in a clash that has very different stakes for each side. For Arsenal, a defeat here makes Liverpool champions. For Palace, all eyes may already be on the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final.

Arsenal Focused on Momentum

Arsenal still have an outside chance at the title, but they sit 13 points off Liverpool with 5 games left. Realistically, Mikel Arteta’s attention has shifted toward the Champions League, where they’ll face PSG in the semi-finals. That said, I think Arteta will want his side sharp going into that tie and will name a strong starting XI.

The Gunners were rampant in their last league outing, dismantling Ipswich 4-0 at Portman Road. That win made it 11 unbeaten across all competitions and another clean sheet to add to their impressive domestic defensive record. They’ve won 6 straight league matches against Palace, including a dominant 5-1 win in the reverse fixture.

Palace Rotating for Wembley?

With an FA Cup semi-final on the horizon, Oliver Glasner may choose to rotate his Palace side here. The Eagles are 12th in the table and have little left to play for in the league. Their recent form hasn’t helped, either as they’re winless in their last 3 and have shipped 10 goals in that span.

Palace were thumped 5-1 by Arsenal earlier this season and haven’t beaten the Gunners in their last 6 attempts. With Chris Richards suspended and several players likely to be rested, this could be a long night at the Emirates.

How the Bookies See It

No surprises here. Arsenal are 1.42 favourites to take all three points, while Palace are out at 7.40 to spring a surprise. The draw is priced at 4.50. Over 3.5 Goals is appealing at 3.10, considering recent H2Hs have averaged 4 goals per game.

Head-to-Head: Gunners Dominant

Arsenal have won the last 6 meetings, scoring 20 goals. In December’s reverse fixture, the Gunners ran riot at Selhurst Park. Jesus scored twice, with Havertz, Martinelli and Rice adding to the tally. Palace’s only reply came from Sarr.

Players to Watch

Gabriel Martinelli has found form, scoring in back-to-back matches. He’s 3.00 to score again and looks a sharp option out wide. Leandro Trossard netted twice against Ipswich and is pushing to start. Eddie Nketiah could also feature against his former club and has already scored against them this season in the Carabao Cup.

Predicted Lineups

Arsenal: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Odegaard, Merino; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli
Crystal Palace: Turner; Devenny, Clyne, Lacroix, Lerma; Kamada, Hughes; Esse, Franca, Chilwell; Nketiah
