Golf Majors 2025 Outright Betting Tips
Predicting the winner of each of the four Majors is one of the hardest challenges in golf betting. That’s what I’ve set for myself as an avid golf fan. I’ll provide a tip for each of the four Majors, starting with the Masters in April and concluding with the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in July.

Scottie Scheffler may dominate the headlines, but Justin Thomas is flying under the radar and he’s looking sharp. He closed out last season in style with two big finishes and could peak perfectly in time for Augusta.
His game matches the course. Strong iron play, clever scrambling, and experience in pressure moments. If he’s dialled in, he’s dangerous.
🏌 US PGA Championship
📅 May 15-18 | 📍 Quail Hollow Club
Pick: Rory McIlroy
Current Odds: 9.00
This one feels made for Rory.
Quail Hollow has been his playground over the years, with four PGA Tour wins here. That history gives him a major edge. Add in the hunger after last season’s near-miss at the US Open, and McIlroy has a real shot to snap his long major drought.

📅 June 12-15 | 📍 Oakmont Country Club
Pick: Scottie Scheffler
Current Odds: 6.00
Scheffler hasn’t just been consistent, he’s been elite. And Oakmont is the kind of course that rewards precision above all else. It’s a brutal test, and Scheffler’s all-around ball-striking makes him a natural fit.
He made his major debut here back in 2016. A full-circle moment could be on the cards.
🏆 The Open Championship
📅 July 17-20 | 📍 Royal Portrush
Pick: Tommy Fleetwood
Current Odds: 20.00
Fleetwood knows Portrush. He was runner-up here in 2019 and thrives in links conditions.
He doesn’t win often, but his Open record is as consistent as anyone’s with four top-12s in his last six starts. If the wind gets up and the conditions turn gritty, Tommy could finally land that long-awaited major.
