Thursday | PGA Tour & LIV Golf | Zurich Classic & Mexico City

The pro golf calendar rolls on this week with team action in Louisiana and solo showdowns south of the border. The Zurich Classic of New Orleans returns with its pairs format, while LIV heads to Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City.

I’ve got a couple of strong-value bets lined up in each.

Horschel & Hoge Could Click in the Bayou

Billy Horschel is no stranger to success in New Orleans. The 2013 individual champ also won the pairs event with Scott Piercy in 2018 and clearly thrives at TPC Louisiana. Now he’s teamed up with the steady Tom Hoge, who comes in with 4 Top-20s in his last 4 starts.

While Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are deservedly favourites in the market, I’m backing Horschel and Hoge as a well-rounded duo that could challenge them if the chemistry clicks.

📈 Bet: Horschel & Hoge to win Zurich Classic- 21.00

Don’t Sleep on Riley & Hardy

2023 Zurich champions Davis Riley and Nick Hardy are quietly going under the radar. Riley’s been striping it lately, ranking high in approach play with a 7th at Valspar and a T21 on Masters debut. If Hardy can hold his own, this pair is a strong shout with a great chance, having already won this, so we know they play well together.

📈 Bet: Riley & Hardy to win Zurich Classic – 70.00

Course Suits Casey in LIV Mexico

The LIV Golf train heads to Mexico City this week, returning to the tight, tree-lined fairways of Club de Golf Chapultepec. Paul Casey has a history of solid play here from the WGC-Mexico era, with four straight top-16 finishes on this track.

He’s shown flashes this year- leading in Hong Kong after 36 holes and following it with a top 10 in Singapore. If he brings the same tee-to-green game, he’s a contender.

📈 Bet: Paul Casey to win LIV Mexico- 31.00

One Last Dance for Lefty?

At 54 years old, Phil Mickelson still has the touch around the greens- and that’s exactly what this course demands. He famously won here in 2018 over Justin Thomas and has two top-six finishes in his last four LIV events. After a rare missed cut at Augusta, I’m expecting a bounce-back in conditions he loves.

📈 Bet: Phil Mickelson to win LIV Mexico- 61.00
